The Gravedigger's Daughter

The Gravedigger's Daughter - Joyce Carol Oates always like Joyce Carol Oates....

Ok. having read it I will give it 3 stars. Even in the author's question and answer session at the end, she says likes the beginning parts more, as I did. Her relationship with her family fills up the majority of the book. Then she gets into an abusive relationship. You can blame her youth, but her second relationship seems to be lifeless. I lost interest here and just wanted to finish the book. The ending was unsatisfying for me, Rebecca seems like she's losing it and doesn't come across as being as intelligent as when she was a young girl.
