I can't give it one star because I read the whole thing, so I must have found some interesting parts to it. Really trying to be Da Vinci Code-like, but the author, while having a good idea, sketches unrealistic scenes. This would almost work better if it were futuristic; I don't think anyone could stay up 72 hours and go through these adventures as written, unless robotically enhanced.
The "romance" had no foundation - a few sparks, heightened by adrenalin...
Also, the "extremely controversial" warning as part of the title? Merely attention-seeking.
I won't be checking out the sequel to the series.
